Last night at bible study, we went over
Luke 10:25-31 - the parable of the good Samaritan.
29But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?"
Are gay people my neighbors? Can I treat them poorly, as second-class citizens, because they're gay? Perhaps, if Jesus were to tell me that gay people aren't my neighbors, that would justify my desire (and action) to oppress them.
